FemFund Poland

A community-led, trust-based and participatory grantmaker supporting intersectional feminist movements and organizing in Poland.

FemFund mobilizes resources and delivers it to the forefronts of progressive change. Over 260 groups have benefited from FemFund’s support.

FemFund prioritizes the most oppressed groups, including sex workers, queer communities, persons with disabilities, rural women, migrant and refugee women, Black feminists and climate justice activists.

The well-being of people, animals and the planet lies at the core of everything we do. It is not only our strategic direction and an ultimate goal but also a tool for facilitating deeper systemic transformation towards a more just future.

Centering Care

Within the framework of this collaboration, FemFund took the opportunity to pause and reflect on our internal culture of organizing to identify what supports us in sustaining the well-being of the team and what puts us at risk of burnout. We recognized that our energy is the most precious resource and we need to be strategic on how we use it. This means for example transforming our default mode of responding to never-ending crises as jumping directly into action drains our energies and hampers our capacities to deliver meaningful change. This analysis of FemFund’s institutional culture will provide us with recommendations on how we want to transform internally. This will in turn inform our interactions with the communities we serve. We want to share all the accumulated experience of the collaboration with broader communities we are part of.
